Working on the new direction of my art has genuinely been so eye opening for me. It's so sick to like see everything starting to come to fruition. I feel like I'm finally accomplishing the stuff I've been wanting to accomplish since I was 10 years old, and now I'm here like 12 years later finally seeing and understanding that I could just DO it. I got the chance last week to finally buy an album on vinyl that I've been wanting to get since I was 12. Back when I first wanted to get it, I didn't have the money to buy it, as well as the record store that I would go to not having in in stock. Flash forward 10 years, I randomly decided to revisit the record store, and not only did I finally have the means to get the record, but the store also had it in stock. That album was Tyler, the Creator's "WOLF." That album shaped me and my sound, and this next album that I'm working on is heavily inspired by WOLF. My favorite song on the record is probably "Partyisntover/Campfire/Bimmer" or "Awkward."
But the point of all this rambling is to say that this album influenced me to chase my dreams and passion for music, and that any dream can be accomplished if you stay focused and don't trip too hard about time. One of the intentions behind this next album that I'm working on is to grow, not only lyrically and sonically, but consciously as well. The other intention behind this next record is to make something that's so heavily inspired by other art but also so distinctly me that it will inspire someone to pursue their passion no matter what it is, like how WOLF inspired me. Thanks 4 reading!
